Summer Camps and Intensives: Month of June
Sumer Session: July 7th- 26th
At Affinity Illinois Dance Center, we believe in teaching dance in a way that is sustainable to lifelong body health and stamina. Our passion is providing students with a healthy body mindset and image. Dance will become a creative outlet for their entire lives and will help them succeed in any avenue that their future takes them.

Summer Camps & Intensives
Fairtytale Fantasy
Ages 3- 5
June 2- 4
10am- 12pm
$65
Be enchanted during our Fairytale Fantasy 3-day dance camp! We will explore different fairytale stories, crafts, and dancing each day which will culminate in a mini in-studio performance of everything we've learned on Wednesday at 12pm! This camp will meet Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am-12pm and will include time for a snack. The snack will not be provided by the studio so please pack a snack and send a water bottle with your child. No previous dance experience required!
Fairytale Fantasy
Ages 6- 8

The Nutcracker Camp

Join Clara on her journey through the Land of the Snow and the Land of the Sweets during this 4-day dance camp! This camp is designed for students with previous experience or students currently enrolled in Beginning Dance Technique at Affinity
Illinois Dance Center for the spring 2025 semester. We will be exploring ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, as well as exploring the story of the Nutcracker. This camp does include a lunch break. The studio is not providing lunch so please send your child
with a lunch and a water bottle! This camp will culminate in a mini in-studio performance on Thursday at 1pm! This camp is not required to participate in the Nutcracker performance in December 2025.
Sleeping Beauty Camp

Join Aurora and her friends the fairies, white cat, and bluebird during this 4-day dance camp! This camp is designed for students with previous experience or students currently enrolled in Beginning Dance Technique at Affinity Illinois Dance Center for the spring 2025 semester. We will be exploring ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, as well as exploring the story of Sleeping Beauty (the ballet). This camp does include a dinner break. The studio is not providing dinner so please send your child with food and a water bottle! This camp will culminate in a mini in-studio performance on Thursday at 7pm!
Jr. Summer Intensive

The Jr. Summer Intensive is designed for students currently in Intermediate 1 for the spring 2025 semester at Affinity Illinois Dance Center. This summer camp is by placement only. Students not enrolled at Affinity Illinois Dance Center are welcome
to schedule a placement class for summer camps and summer session (email us: info@affinityillinoisdancecenter.com). This week long program will improve strength, flexibility, technique, artistry, and so much more! Students will have the opportunity to take classes in a variety of dance styles and take from a range of different qualified instructors. Classes may include ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, improv, variations, conditioning, Pilates, and more! This week will culminate in a mini in-studio performance on Friday at 6:30pm. This session will include snack breaks (snacks not provided by AIDC).
Summer Intensive

The Summer Intensive is designed for students currently in Intermediate 2 or Advanced for the spring 2025 semester at Affinity Illinois Dance Center. This summer camp is by placement only. Students not enrolled at Affinity Illinois Dance Center are welcome to schedule a placement class for summer camps and summer session (email us:
info@affinityillinoisdancecenter.com). This week long program will improve strength, flexibility, technique, artistry, and so much more! Students will have the opportunity to take classes in a variety of dance styles and take from a range of different qualified instructors. Classes may include ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, contemporary, improv, variations, conditioning, Pilates, and more! This week will culminate in a mini in-studio performance on Friday at 2pm. This session will include a lunch break and snack breaks (not provided by AIDC).
Class Descriptions
Dance Beginnings
Ages 3-4
45 minute class

Dance Beginnings is a creative dance class that teaches dance fundamentals, ballet, and tap! This 45 minute class is geared for kids ages 3-4. Students will explore both ballet and tap and this class will focus on listening skills, following along, and basic class etiquette and dance steps.
Dance Jr.
Ages 5-6
60 minute class

A creative dance class where students ages 5-6 can discover the magic of movement, expression, and creativity. Students will be guided through ballet and jazz techniques to provide a comprehensive foundation for artistic exploration.
Dance Jr. is a 1 hour dance technique class that will focus on ballet and jazz technique! Students will also learn choreography for our winter and spring performances during their class!
Beginning Dance Technique
Ages 7+
90 minute class
$58
A creative dance class where students ages 7+ can discover the magic of movement, expression, and creativity. Students will be guided through multiple dance genres providing a comprehensive foundation for artistic exploration.
The Beginning Dance Technique program will include 1 hour of dance technique and 30 minutes of choreography each week! Students will learn choreography for fun and choreography that they can perform on the big stage for our winter and spring performances.
Level 1 -2

Levels 1 and 2 are a progression from Beginning Dance Technique that is by placement only. Students will need to be evaluated for placement into this level. Students will build on skills they learned and start gaining a better understanding of how dance steps go together, transitions, technique, choreography and many other skills.
Level 3

Price varies by hours/week
Level 3 is a progression from Level 2 that is by placement only. Students will need to be evaluated for placement into this level. Students will focus on correct alignment, conditioning, intermediate level skills, as well as learning the foundation of dance artistry.
Level 4- 5
Hours vary by classes chosen
Price varies by hours/week
Levels 4 and 5 are a progression from Level 3 that is by placement only. Students will need to be evaluated for placement into this level. Students will focus on correct alignment, conditioning, intermediate and advanced level skills, as well as artistry.
